Benefits software for the people who run benefits

Everything an employer needs to run benefits.Free for the employer.

Camber is one system for benefits, payroll, HR and compliance, free for the employer — ten employees or a thousand, in any state. We’re paid by the brokerages whose CRM, benefits administration and book-of-business tools it replaces.

The demo is the real software with sample data. Nothing to install, nothing to fill in.

If you employ people

The software is free. Really.

Benefits administration, payroll records, onboarding, time off, documents and compliance tracking — at no cost to you, however many people you employ, in any state.

Beyond that we charge only when we do work for you: setting the system up, and running your open enrollment. Both are optional and priced below, in full.

Camber Tasks — the CRM, on your own servers

Your book of business never leaves your network.

Camber Tasks is our CRM and task-management system — accounts, contacts, pipeline, renewals, service tickets, templates and team workload. It is a separate product that installs inside your network, and it is the piece most firms are unwilling to hand to a vendor. A security questionnaire exists to work out how carefully we would look after data you gave us; here, you never give it to us.

To be clear about what this is: Camber Tasks is the CRM only. The Camber benefits, payroll and HR platform is hosted by us and is not available to run on your own infrastructure. If your requirement is that the whole system sits inside your data centre, we are not a fit today and we would rather say so now.

No telemetry. No phone-home. No support back door, and no bundled agent. Licensing is verified by signature offline, so the host can run with outbound internet denied entirely and nothing degrades. We are not in the path, which means there is no breach at us that can reach you.

Where we actually stand

We do not hold a SOC 2 report today, and we have not commissioned an independent penetration test. We would rather you heard that here than found it in week six of an evaluation. What we can give you now is the architecture, a written list of what this version does not do, and software you can run where your own controls already apply.

Your CRM data
Accounts, contacts, pipeline and notes stay in your Postgres, on your host. We never receive them.
Your email
Sends and receives through your own Exchange or relay. Nothing is relayed through us.
Your identity provider
SAML 2.0 or OIDC, plus two-factor. Local administrators stay exempt so an IdP outage never locks you out.
Your backups
One command, verified readable before it reports success. Standard Postgres — you can restore it without us.
Outbound access
Optional. Licence checks are offline; deny egress and nothing changes.
If we disappear
It is your server and your database. Camber Tasks keeps running.

Look around before you talk to anyone.

Pick whose screen you want to see. Each one opens the real product, filled with sample data, in read-only mode. No account, no email address, no call.

What’s in it

Benefits administration

Plan setup, eligibility rules, open enrollment and life events — for the whole book, in one place.

Payroll and HR

Employee records, onboarding, time and attendance, PTO, documents and e-signature.

Compliance

ACA reporting, Form 5500, COBRA, I-9 and E-Verify deadlines tracked against each client's own plan year.

Open enrollment

Upload the SBCs and the plans build themselves. What used to take a week takes an afternoon.

Client self-service

Employers manage their own people. Employees see their benefits, pay and time off without calling anyone.

Renewals and reporting

Every renewal date, every line of coverage, and what each one is worth — before it lands on you.

The part we care most about

Nobody should fall through the gap.

Plenty of people who work hard for a living don’t qualify for their employer’s health plan — part-time staff, seasonal workers, contractors. Others lose coverage through a divorce, a job change, or because they aged off a parent’s plan.

Camber finds those people automatically and helps them get covered through the Marketplace — usually with a subsidy, often for very little. It costs the employer nothing and it happens without anyone having to ask. Enrolment runs during the annual Marketplace open enrollment, or sooner for anyone with a qualifying life event such as losing other coverage, marriage, or a new child.

What it costs

Every number is here. The platform itself is free, for every employer in every state, on identical terms — it does not change with your headcount, the features you use, or whether you place any insurance through us.

The platform

Free

For every employer, in every state, at any headcount. Not a trial. If we ever introduce a platform fee it will never exceed $500 a year, will be the same for everyone, and you get 60 days' written notice — with the right to leave and take your data first.

  • Benefits administration
  • Payroll and HR records
  • Onboarding, time off, documents
  • Compliance tracking
  • Employee self-service

Takes a few minutes. You will need your EIN and your plan-year dates.

Optional — only if you want us to do the work

You can do both yourself, free

Nothing below is required. Every employer gets the full platform and the same tools we use, plus narrated step-by-step guides covering how to load your own people and how to build and run your own open enrollment. Plenty of employers never pay us anything. These prices are for when you would rather hand it over.

Getting set up

$5per employee

Plus $50 for each benefit we build for you. One time.

  • We load your people
  • We build your plans from the SBCs
  • We set your eligibility rules
  • Most implementations finish within a week*
  • Worked first come, first served

Open enrollment

$300flat

Covers up to five plans; $50 for each plan after that.

  • Enrollment configured and tested
  • Employee communications
  • Election summaries you can send to your carriers

Prefer to do it yourself? The guides walk through loading your population and configuring open enrollment end to end. They come with the free account, and you can switch to having us do it at any point.

*Provided all necessary information is supplied. Implementations are worked in the order they are received, and the clock starts when we have what we need — your census, plan documents and rates.

Brokerage licensing is quoted per firm — ask us.

Ready when you are.

The demo is the actual product, so nothing changes when you sign up — you just get your own copy of it, with your people in it.
